Scope
In order to be eligible to receive certification from the board as a journeyman plumber, the applicant shall demonstrate possession of the skill, knowledge, and ability to install, maintain, repair, alter, extend, and construct plumbing systems in accordance with the building code and all other applicable codes and regulations. The applicant shall have no less than four (4) years of practical plumbing experience. The board may, in its sole discretion, consider a person's formal or vocational education as experience in the trade.
Examination Content Outline
The Journeyman Plumber examination is based on trade-specific information pertaining to materials, tools, equipment, practices, terminology, and relevant laws. The examination is a three (3) hour, open book exam that consists of 75 questions.
