Scope
Masonry Category--Class "M": The scope of work of a Class "M" specialty building contractor shall include and be limited to the selection, cutting, and laying of bricks, concrete block, and any other unit masonry or clay products, rough-cut and dress stone, artificial stone, pre-cast blocks, structural glass brick or block, decor block, and veneer, all of which may be laid at random or in course and with or without mortar; and applying tile to floors or exterior wall surfaces, masonry, or pre-cast concrete fences. A Class "M" specialty building contractor shall not pour, place, or finish cast-in-place concrete or epoxy products. In order to be eligible to be certified as a Class "M" specialty building contractor by the board, the applicant shall have at least two (2) years of practical experience in the category.
Examination Content Outline
The Swimming Pool/Spa Servicing Contractor--Class "SP" examination is based on trade-specific information pertaining to materials, tools, equipment, practices, terminology, and relevant laws. The examination is a two (2) hour, open book exam that consists of 50 questions.
